Eugene de Blaas
Eugene de Blaas , also Eugen (e) von Blaas or Eugenio de Blaas (born July 24, 1843 in Albano Laziale near Rome , Italy ; † February 10, 1931 in Venice ) was an Italian genre painter .
Life
De Blaas' parents were Austrian citizens. His father, the painter Karl von Blaas (1815-1894), taught his son. The family moved to Venice after Karl von Blaas accepted a professorship at the Academy in Venice.
Eugene de Blaas became known for his genre paintings, which often show subjects in Venice. He later became a professor at the Academy in Venice.
