François Colímon

François Colímon SMM (born July 10, 1934 in Les Gonaïves ) is former bishop of Port-de-Paix .

Life

François Colimon joined the Congregation of Montfortains at and received on 11 February 1962, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul I appointed him coadjutor bishop of Port-de-Paix on September 18, 1978 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Haiti , Luigi Conti , donated him episcopal ordination on December 8th of the same year ; Co - consecrators were François-Wolff Ligondé , Archbishop of Port-au-Prince , François Gayot SMM, Bishop of Cap-Haïtien , Jean-Jacques Claudius Angénor , Bishop of Les Cayes , Emmanuel Constant , Bishop of Les Gonaïves , and Joseph Willy Romélus , Bishop by Jérémie .

After Rémy Augustin's resignation, SMM succeeded him on February 22, 1982 as Bishop of Port-de-Paix. He resigned from his office on March 1, 2008.
