Pierre-Antoine Paulo

Pierre-Antoine Paulo OMI (born March 23, 1944 in Camp-Perrin ) is a Haitian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Port-de-Paix .

Life

Pierre-Antoine Paulo joined the Order of the Oblates (OMI) , professed on August 2, 1963, and was ordained a priest on December 20, 1969 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Port-de-Paix on July 7, 2001 . He was ordained episcopate on October 14th of the same year by the Archbishop of Cap-Haïtien , François Gayot SMM ; Co- consecrators were Hubert Constant OMI, Bishop of Fort-Liberté , and François Colímon SMM, Bishop of Port-de-Paix.

With the resignation of François Colímon SMM on March 1, 2008, he succeeded him as Bishop of Port-de-Paix. On April 14, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Pierre-Antoine Paulo’s resignation due to reasons of age.
