The diocese of Port-de-Paix ( lat. : Dioecesis Portus Pacis ) is an in Haiti located Roman Catholic diocese based in Port-de-Paix .

history

The diocese Port-de-Paix was on October 3, 1861 by Pope Pius IX. built from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince as a suffragan . The diocese of Port-de-Paix was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Cap-Haïtien on April 7, 1988 as a suffragan.
