Eugen (io) von Renazzi , also Eugenio Renazzi del Castello (de 'Britti) (born December 22, 1863 in Rome , † after 1914), was an Italian genre , portrait and landscape painter .

Renazzi studied from 1883 to 1888 at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence . He also exhibited in Florence. He later added the name "del Castello de 'Britti", a castle in San Lazzaro di Savena . At the turn of the century he was already living and working in the Munich area , based in Schleissheim. Here he was known as Eugen or Eugenio von Renazzi . He signed his works with "EVRENAZZI".

Von Renazzi was friends with the major widow von Holstein for several years . When she left in 1913, he replaced the paintings in her apartment from her private collection with copies she had made. He was sentenced to a month's imprisonment in Munich in mid-1915, which refutes the often cited year of death, 1914.
