The first Eurailspeed took place in Berlin in 1991. The following trains were on display at Berlin-Lichtenberg station: an ETR X 500 , an SJ X2 , an ICE 1 , TGV Atlantique 325 and a TALGO-PENDULAR .

The second Eurailspeed took place in Brussels in 1992 .

At the third Eurailspeed, which took place in 1995 in Lille , all high-speed trains running in Europe were exhibited for the first time as part of the vehicle exhibition at Lille-Flandres station : an ETR 500 , an ETR 460 , an SJ X2 , an AVE , an ICE 1 , a Eurostar , a Thalys and a TGV Duplex . In addition, a 1:20 model of the ICE 2.2 (today: ICE 3) was shown.

The fourth Eurailspeed took place parallel to InnoTrans from October 28th to 30th, 1998 in Berlin. As part of the vehicle exhibition, an ICE T , a TGV Duplex, an ETR 480 , an ETR 500, an IC2000 , ICN tilting technology train, a Eurostar and a Thalys were exhibited. The prototype of a tilting technology TGV (TGV Pendulaire) was also exhibited. The ICE 3 celebrated its public premiere at this event. The vehicle exhibition took place from October 28 to November 1, 1998 on the grounds of the DB plant in Berlin-Grunewald.

The following Eurailspeed took place from October 23 to 25, 2002 in Madrid. The vehicle exhibition was held at Madrid Chamartín train station . The Spanish King Juan-Carlos opened the conference.

The last Eurailspeed followed from November 7th to 9th, 2005 in Milan . More than 65 exhibitors presented themselves on the fringes of the congress. Among other things, took EU Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot part. In Milan Porta Garibaldi station three HGV trains were issued: a TGV Réseau POS, an AVE S-103 and the prototype of the RENFE Class 120 .

The follow-up event Rail took place for the first time in 2008.
