Euregio Lake Constance

The Euregio Bodensee is a European region in the Lake Constance area that was founded in 1997. In 2015, the region was home to over 4 million people, with a population density of 300 people per square kilometer.

The Euregio Bodensee consists of

• the German counties
  • in Baden-Württemberg :
    • Lake Constance district ,
    • Constance ,
    • Ravensburg ,
    • Sigmaringen
  • and in Bavaria :
    • Lindau ,
    • Oberallgäu ,
    • as well as the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) ,
• the Swiss cantons
  • Appenzell Ausserrhoden ,
  • Appenzell Innerrhoden ,
  • St. Gallen ,
  • Schaffhausen ,
  • Thurgau and
  • Zurich ,
• the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and
• the Principality of Liechtenstein .

Vorarlberg has restricted its participation in the four-country days of the European region Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino because of its local affiliation and will only participate selectively there .
