Euregio Lake Constance
The Euregio Bodensee is a European region in the Lake Constance area that was founded in 1997. In 2015, the region was home to over 4 million people, with a population density of 300 people per square kilometer.
The Euregio Bodensee consists of
- the German counties
- in Baden-Württemberg :
- and in Bavaria :
- Lindau ,
- Oberallgäu ,
- as well as the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) ,
- the Swiss cantons
- the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and
- the Principality of Liechtenstein .
Vorarlberg has restricted its participation in the four-country days of the European region Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino because of its local affiliation and will only participate selectively there .
