Eurochannel is a television channel that can be received via cable and satellite in Latin America , Brazil , Canada and the Caribbean . Only European programs are broadcast in the original version with subtitles. Eurochannel is currently offered by more than 200 cable and satellite providers. The station thus reaches more than 22 million viewers in 20 countries in over six million households in these regions.

history

The station was founded in 1994 by the Abril Group in Brazil. In 2000 the station was acquired by MultiThematiques Inc. (Canal + Group and Vivendi ) in. Four years later it was bought by media entrepreneur Gustavo Vainstein.

Programs

Eurochannel only broadcasts European programs in their original version with subtitles in order to make European culture and lifestyle accessible worldwide.

In July 2009, Eurochannel launched a monthly online magazine for viewers, which is translated into French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Eurocinema

The Eurocinéma cinema program is made up of over seventy feature films a month and three film premieres a week . There are also series of content.

  • Film series with four films each by the same director, the same main actors or the same topic
  • Themed evenings that highlight certain actors, directors or special topics in films and documentaries.
  • Programs consisting of historical works of European cinema.

Euroseries

Euromusic

Concerts, interviews, videos, documentaries, special features from the European pop music scene and news about bands and artists. Every Sunday there is an important concert or special event on the program.

Eurotravel

Eurochannel shows places and travel destinations in Europe. Tips for vacation homes, shopping, restaurants and cultural events are also part of this section.

Euromode

Euromode shows events and trends from the world of fashion by major fashion designers. Portraits of the fashion greats, interviews, documentaries about the most famous names in the fashion world, lifestyle and trends

Documentary film Europa Paulistana

Eurochannel and the Brazilian company Grifa Mixer Production have jointly produced a four-part documentary entitled Europa Paulistana in which they report from the Brazilian city of São Paulo on Europeans who live in Brazil. It reports on the lifestyle and daily life of these people.
