Eva-Maria Faber
Eva-Maria Faber (born July 28, 1964 in Osnabrück ) is a Roman Catholic theologian and university teacher for dogmatics and fundamental theology .
life and work
Faber studied Catholic theology from 1983 to 1989 in Münster , Toulouse and Freiburg i.Br. In 1992 he received his doctorate on the subject of the Church between Identity and Difference. The ecclesiological designs by Romano Guardini and Erich Przywara . In the summer semester of 1996 Faber received a teaching position at the theological faculty of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences (today: University of Lucerne , the title of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences has been transferred to the University of Applied Sciences).
In 1998 she qualified as a professor in the fields of dogmatics and ecumenical theology with a study on the symphony of God and man. The responsory structure of mediation in the theology of Johannes Calvin . On July 7th, 2000 she was appointed full professor for dogmatics and fundamental theology at the Theological University Chur (THC). Faber was Rector of THC from 2007 to 2017.
Institutional Membership
Faber is a member of the working group of Catholic dogmatists and fundamental theologians of the German-speaking area .
Faber is a member of several ecumenical and ecumenical bodies. She is a member of the Ecumenical Working Group of Protestant and Catholic Theologians and a consultor of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity . She also acts as an advisor to the International Lutheran / Roman Catholic Commission on Unity . She was also a member of an international working group to deepen the biblical foundations of the doctrine of justification on behalf of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity .
Awards
On November 27, 2000 Faber received the teaching award of the state of Baden-Württemberg for the University of Freiburg i.Br.
