Eva Janina Wieczorek (* 1951 in Katowice , Poland ) is a German painter. She is a German artist whose works have been featured in awards, publications, collections and exhibitions in Germany, Great Britain, Croatia, Poland and Belgium. Her works are characterized by a powerful implementation of light and shadow and deal with current issues in our world. Many of her works are attributed to realism and also surrealism .

life and work

Born in Katowice Poland as the first daughter of Jan Ludwig Przystolik (1922–1997), manager of a soccer organization in Katowice, later owner of an electrical workshop and Elżbieta Kroll (1922–1994), a business school graduate. Mother Gerhard's brother was a talented painter . Until 1965 Eva attended elementary school in Katowice. During this time she often visited her aunt Lidia Polczynska, her father's sister in Cracow , who was a solo dancer in the Cracow Opera Theater . The aunt's husband was an academic painter. He studied painting at the ASP Art Academy in Cracow. It was there that she first encountered the world of the arts. It shaped her whole life and great passion for art, especially painting. In 1965 the artist attended a grammar school in Katowice. At that time she already wanted to study art. However, this was not available to her for financial reasons. After a year she leaves high school and graduated from vocational school. She later worked in a design office and attended a technical school. There she graduated as a mechanical engineer.

The first drawings were made in 1969 . They were large-format portraits painted with charcoal on cardboard . Wieczorek is currently working in the technique of oil and digital painting . The artist studied private art in the painting department with Prof. Roman Kalarus at the ASP Art Academy in Katowice.

Wieczorek is a member of the International Association of Art (IAA) of UNESCO in Paris . Some of her pictures are in the possession of the Silesian Museum in Katowice. The catalog of the exhibition in the Art Museum in Katowice is in the library of the National Museum in Krakow , the International Cultural Center in Krakow and the National Library in Warsaw .
