Eva Kleinitz
Eva Kleinitz (born January 16, 1972 in Langenhagen ; died May 30, 2019 in Strasbourg ) was a German opera director.
Life
Eva Kleinitz grew up in Hanover . After studying theater and training in classical singing, she became an assistant at the Bregenz Lake Opera in 1991 . From 1998 to 2006 she held increasingly responsible positions at the Bregenz Festival . Since 2005 she has given regular guest lectures and workshops at the private Showa Academia Musicae in Asao-ku (Kawasaki) , Japan. In 2006 she went to the La Monnaie / De Munt opera house in Brussels as head of artistic planning . During Jossi Wieler's artistic directorship , she was opera director at the Stuttgart State Opera from 2011 to 2017 . Since 2013 she has headed the Opera Europa network .
From September 2017, Kleinitz was director of the Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg . Kleinitz fell ill with cancer.
