Eva Kristin Hansen (born March 5, 1973 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). From 2000 to 2002 she headed the youth organization Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking (AUF). Since October 2017 she has been the Storting's first deputy parliamentary leader .

Life

During her studies, Hansen was involved in the fight against Norway's accession to the European Union . From 1995 to 1996 she was youth secretary in the youth party AUF for the province of Sør-Trøndelag , after having been on the board of the AUF in this province from 1990. From 1996 to 1997 she headed the youth organization in Sør-Trøndelag. In 2000 she was elected UP chairperson for all of Norway and she remained in office until 2002. She ran again in the 2002 election, but was subject to her then deputy Gry Larsen . From 2003 to 2004 she worked as a project manager at the municipality of Rissa , and in 2003 she moved to the Trondheim City Council.

From 2003 to 2009 Hansen was deputy chairman of the Arbeiderpartiet in Sør-Trøndelag, after which she became its chairman. In the 2005 election , Hansen moved into the Norwegian parliament in Storting for the first time . Since then she has represented the constituency of Sør-Trøndelag there. After the parliamentary elections in 2017 , she was elected as the first deputy chairman of parliament on October 7, 2017.
