The Evangelical Church in Hörste is located in the district of the same name in Halle in East Westphalia . The church belongs to the parish of the St. Johanniskirchengemeinde in Halle and is therefore in the parish of Halle of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .

history

Until 1707 the community in Hörste belonged to the parish in Halle. Hörste broke away from the community and kept separate church registers. The two communities have been reunited since 1972.

organ

In 1899 an organ was built into the church by the Ernst Klassmeier company from Kirchheide. The organ has a Kalkantenzug , pedal coupler , a mechanical cone drawer and a side play cabinet. During the First World War , the prospect pipes had to be handed in for war purposes, but could later be replaced. In 1978 the organ was restored by the company Lobback from Neuendeich and a baroque sound change was carried out. In 1996 the organ was almost unplayable so that in 1998 another restoration was carried out by the Steinmann company from Vlotho .
