The Protestant Michaeliskirche in the community of Schwörstadt in the district of Lörrach was built at the end of the 1950s.

description

The Protestant church was built in 1958. The church is located off the main road in a residential area of ​​the town. Nave and choir are united in a rectangular space and are of a gable roof completed. In the north-west there is a bell tower with a square floor plan . The lower part of the tower is closed and without windows; the upper one from a belfry open on each side. This consists of several longitudinal struts and a cross strut and houses an h 'bell from 1888 of unknown origin. The flat roof protrudes slightly over the floor plan and has a cross at its top. The main portal on the west facade is protected by a small canopy. Above this, glass block elements are embedded in the facade, which are arranged in a pyramidal manner towards the roof gable. The glass blocks are repeated in the upper half of the otherwise brightly plastered south facade. In the northeast is the sacristy . In the interior there is a simple table altar with crucifix and pulpit in the choir area. In the gallery is the organ built in 1960 by Wilhelm Wagner from Grötzingen . The instrument has a mechanical action and has a manual , a pedal and four stops .
