History and architecture

The medieval choir tower with a slanted bell storey and a pointed helmet probably goes back to the castle chapel of the Knights of Bicken. It was built in 1559. Remnants of late medieval wall paintings can be seen. The nave was built as a transverse church in 1756 . The three-sided, transversely oriented galleries are marked 1787. The altar and the pulpit from 1787 stand on the northern long side, which is free from the elevations. The Raßmann organ from 1837 is known nationwide. It was renovated and expanded in 2016 (2 manuals / pedal / 18 stops).
