Evangelical Church Braunau
The Protestant church is a listed church building in Braunau , a district of Bad Wildungen in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district ( Hesse ).
History and architecture
The hall building with a three-sided end was built in 1728 under the direction of Lulius Ludwig Rothweil. The west tower is crowned with a hood and a lantern.
Furnishing
- In the middle of the winged altar there is a multi-figure, carved crucifixion , and biblical scenes can be seen on the wings. The altar was made in the Meisterdorf Franciscan workshop in 1523. Originally it was in Odershausen.
- The pulpit dates from the second half of the 17th century
- The font is from 1678
- The organ was built in 1756 by the organ builder Johann Philipp Schellhase, and was last restored by the organ builder Noeske (Rothenburg) in 2009. The instrument has 9 registers , 7 of which are manual registers (C – c 3 : Principal 8 ′, Gedackt 8 ′, Viol 8 ′, Principal 4 ′, Fugare 4 ′, Octave 2 ′, Cornet III) and a pedal (C – c 1 : Subbass 16 ′, Octavbass 8 ′). The actions are mechanical.
