The Protestant parish church is a listed church building in Krombach , a district of Kreuztal in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The simple, late Romanesque hall church was built in the first half of the 13th century. The nave is two-bay , the main choir is single-bay with a semicircular apse . It was originally dedicated to St. Ludgerus . Semicircular niches are let into the just closing aisles . The domed ridge vaults are supported in the central nave by heavy square pillars with half-column templates. The side aisles and the western half yoke are arched on one side. The tower faces west.

Furnishing

  • The painting was done in 1958 using uncovered remains of ornaments
  • Pulpit with carved panels from 1764
  • Altar table from 1781
  • Remains of a late Gothic tabernacle are built into the tower hall.
