Church building in Wiedweg

The Protestant Church Wiedweg is the Protestant parish church in Wiedweg , a district of Reichenau in the Feldkirchen district in Carinthia .

Building

A first church ( tolerance prayer house ) was mentioned in 1787. The current building dates from 1844 by master builder Simon Pirker from Villach . In the period after the Protestant patent was issued, an organ was built in 1868 and a tower in 1898 . The tower ground floor with its three arcade openings forms the vestibule for the western main entrance. The nave is divided into three bays by pilasters that carry a shallow barrel. The carpenter Josef Wiedweger created the altar from lower districts in the style of a peasant rococo.

The church and cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).
