The Evans Cove is a small side bay of Terra Nova Bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies between Inexpressible Island and Cape Russell .
The bay was discovered and mapped by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . It is named after Frederick Pryce Evans (1874–1959), the captain of the expedition ship Nimrod for the return of the expedition members to New Zealand in the spring of 1909.
