The Evans Peak is a 3,950 m high and prominent mountain peaks in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . It rises 5 km east-northeast of Mount Ostenso in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The University of Minnesota geological team , who undertook an expedition into the Sentinel Range between 1963 and 1964, named the summit after geologist John Evans, a participant in the expedition.
