Mount Ostenso is a 4180 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 3 km south of Mount Giovinetto in the main ridge of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
It was mapped by the so-called Marie Byrd Land Traverse Party , a team mainly to explore the Marie Byrd Land between 1957 and 1958. They named the mountain after the American geophysicist Ned A. Ostenso (1930-1997), a member of this Crew and seismologist at Byrd Station in 1957.
