Evans Wise (born November 23, 1973 in St. Joseph ) is a Trinidadian football player.
Life
Evans Wise played at Cultural United FC in Trinidad and Tobago when he was young , before moving to the United States to complete his studies: He studied at the renowned Mercer County Community College from 1994 to 1995, where he graduated with an Associate of Arts degree. There he was voted Most Valuable Player in College Football in 1994. After his college days he came to the Tampa Bay Mutiny as 1st round draft selection in the US Major League Soccer , in which he later also played for the New England Revolution .
In 1999 Wise moved to the Bundesliga for SSV Ulm 1846 . He made nine appearances in the top German league, making him the first and so far only player in his country in the Bundesliga. He was the third of four Ulmers who were expelled from the field on September 10, 1999 in the 1: 2 away defeat at Hansa Rostock and thus set a Bundesliga record: Wise saw the red card in the 77th minute of the game. After the relegation of Ulm from the first Bundesliga, he moved to the regional division SV Elversberg . From 2004 Wise played for the second division club Wacker Burghausen before returning to Joe Public FC in Trinidad and Tobago that same year . 2005 Evans Wise returned to Germany and signed the Oberliga side SV Waldhof Mannheim . He left this again during the winter break of the 2006/07 season and ended his career. On March 14, 2012, after four years of abstinence, he announced his comeback at the PDL club Fredericksburg Hotspur . On January 18, 2013 he moved to RVA Football Club, which is coached by Grover Gibson .

National team
Evans Wise was a national player for Trinidad and Tobago and was part of the squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Here he moved up for the injured Silvio Spann . He played 19 international matches and scored three goals in his eleven-year national team appearance.
