Eve & Rave

Eve & Rave (also known as eve & rave ) are / were registered associations in the German cities of Berlin , Kassel , Cologne and Münster as well as in Switzerland . The name of the club is made up of the words "Eve" as a name for a type of ecstasy tablets and " Rave " for the electronic music event of the same name.

The aim is to promote party and techno culture and to reduce the drug problem through accepting drug work . For this purpose, the associations offer drug users information on the individual intoxicants, with the aim of using these substances with as little risk as possible ( safer use ). Eve & Rave advocates decriminalization of drug users, drug maturity and drug checking , which many German criminal law professors ( Schildower Kreis ), sections of the police , some well-known economists and increasingly broader layers of society consider the only feasible way to deal with the drug problem to steer in a reasonable direction.

history

On October 12, 1994, the Eve & Rave eV Berlin association was founded with the aim of promoting party and techno culture and making nightlife safer in the long term and improving its quality (safer house or safer clubbing). A central point here was - among many others - to reduce the drug problem through accepting drug work . In 1996 the idea was taken up in the cities of Münster and Solothurn (Switzerland). This is how the Eve & Rave (Switzerland) association came into being and, in cooperation with AIDS-Hilfe Münster eV, the Eve & Rave Münster project, which has been a registered association (eve & rave Münster eV) since 2003. In addition, the associations Eve & Rave eV NRW ( Cologne ) and later Eve & Rave Kassel were founded. However, these only existed for a relatively short time compared to Berlin, Münster and Switzerland. All Eve & Rave associations worked drug accepting from the start. Drug use is recognized as a social reality . The abstinence paradigm (the general condemnation of any use of illegal drugs) is classified by Eve & Rave as unrealistic. For this reason, the author collective techno-netzwerk berlin developed a drug-checking concept for the Federal Republic of Germany for the German Federal Ministry of Health in 2000, with significant participation from Eve & Rave Berlin . After Eve & Rave Berlin, NRW and Kassel have ceased their activities, the last two active clubs are Eve & Rave Münster and Eve & Rave (Switzerland).

Eve & Rave Berlin

Eve & Rave eV Berlin was founded on October 12, 1994 and existed until March 21, 2011. Between February 1995 and September 1996, the association organized, among other things, so-called drug-checking stands at techno parties, at which the drugs brought by guests on Active ingredient content and composition could be tested. Eve & Rave published various brochures and flyers and operated a website ( www.eve-rave.net ).

Eve & Rave Kassel

Eve & Rave Kassel only existed for a short time and disbanded in November 2003 due to insufficient membership. A website ( www.eve-rave-kassel.de and www.eve-rave.org ) was only available for a short time. The internet domain "eve-rave.org" has been used by Eve & Rave Münster since May 2015.

Eve & Rave Munster

Eve & Rave Münster was founded in 1996 based on the model of Eve & Rave Berlin as a project of AIDS-Hilfe Münster eV and has been a registered association (eve & rave Münster eV) since June 5, 2003. Eve & Rave Münster has worked in close cooperation with the city of Münster since it was founded . From the start, the association's main activities were on-site work in the clubs in the greater Münster area (e.g. Cosmic Club, Club Depot, Dockland, Fusion Club, etc.) and on information events for teachers, students and parents, among others. However, Eve & Rave Münster also took on supra-regional tasks very quickly. So the association u. a. Since 1998 the major techno event Mayday , since 2002 Nature One , since 2003 Ruhr-in-Love , since 2013 the Syndicate and since 2015 the RadioNation and Toxicator with information stands. Since 2001 Eve & Rave Münster has been working in an advisory capacity for the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) and later also for the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) . From 2003 to 2006 the association was a member of the working group Healthy Nightlife of the BZgA, in which World Drug Day 2004 was planned and was significantly shaped by Eve & Rave Münster. In addition, this working group has developed the guideline “Nachts Leben” - Health-promoting measures in nightlife , which has been printed since September 2005 and available as a free download. Since 2011, the association has also been offering information events at driving schools and is a founding member of the PEER project at driving schools interest group (PPF) in April 2014. Due to the increasing misuse of drugs to improve cognitive performance among schoolchildren, students and in the world of work, the association opened in 2014 Offer expanded to include neuro-enhancement (brain doping) .

The website of Eve & Rave Münster was moved to a new internet domain on May 17th, 2015 for organizational reasons (from www.eve-rave.de to www.eve-rave.org ).

Eve & Rave NRW

Eve & Rave eV NRW from Cologne existed for a few years. The association is no longer active.

Eve & Rave Switzerland

Eve & Rave (Switzerland) was founded in February 1996 in Solothurn based on the model of Eve & Rave Berlin. Since then, the association has been committed to the permanent introduction of drug checking in Switzerland. The association has been running a website ( www.eve-rave.ch ) and a moderated discussion forum since 1999 . After the introduction of the RIP banner, deceased users can be identified, provided that the death is reported through private contacts, obituaries or members of the forum management.
