Evelina Settlin (born June 5, 1992 ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Settlin took part in junior races until 2012. Since 2012 she has mainly competed in the Nordic Scandinavian Cup . So far, she has come in third place four times and in second place once and in the 2014/15 season she achieved ninth place in the overall standings (as of the end of the 2019/20 season). At the Junior World Championships in Erzurum in 2012 , she won silver in the sprint and relay. She ran her first World Cup race in March 2012 in Drammen , which she finished with 47th place in the sprint. She got her first World Cup points at the Tour de Ski 2013/14 , which she finished with 38th place overall. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season at the Nordic Opening in Ruka , which she ended prematurely, she achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup with ninth place in the sprint. In the further course of the season she came seven times in the points. At the Tour de Ski 2016 she finished 33rd and at the end of the season she finished 50th in the overall World Cup. At the Tour de Ski 2016/17 she finished 25th. In the 2017/18 season she was 23rd in the Ruka Triple and 28th in the 2017/18 Tour de Ski .

The following season, Settlin finished 17th in the Lillehammer Triple and 19th in the World Cup finals in Québec. In addition, she achieved her first podium positions in the World Cup in Lahti with third place together with Hanna Falk and in Ulricehamn with second place with the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol , she came in 13th place in the skiathlon . She finished the season in 24th place in the overall World Cup and in 22nd place in the Distance World Cup and Sprint World Cup. In the 2019/20 season she was third in the team sprint in Dresden together with Linn Sömskar .
