Evelio Planas

Evelio Planas ( Eutimio Evelio Planas del Río; born January 30, 1930 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a former Cuban sprinter and middle-distance runner .

At the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951 , he was seventh over 800 m .

In 1952 he retired at the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 400 m and 800 m in the preliminary run and reached the semi-finals with the Cuban team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1955 he was again seventh over 800 m at the Pan American Games in Mexico City .
