Evelyn Montague
Evelyn Montague ( Evelyn Aubrey Montague; born March 20, 1900 in Chorlton-cum-Hardy , † January 30, 1948 in North Walsham ) was a British obstacle runner .
At the Olympic Games in 1924 he was sixth in 9: 58.0 min. In the run-up he set his personal best with 9: 48.0 minutes.
After his sporting career, he worked as a journalist for the Manchester Guardian . In the feature film The Victory's Hour (1981) he was played by Nicholas Farrell .
