Evendale is a village of 3,090 people (2000 census) in Hamilton County, Ohio , United States . It is 11 miles north of Cincinnati .
history
In the 19th century Evendale was a station on the Underground Railroad with slave escape assistant John Van Zandt .
GE Aviation is headquartered in the village and is a very important employer. The company has been producing aircraft engines in Evendale since 1949, at that time the General Electric J47 .
