Everaldo Matsuura (born October 1, 1970 in Maringá ) is a Brazilian chess player .
He won the Brazilian championship twice: 1991 and 2016. He played for Brazil at two Chess Olympiads : 1998 and 2002 . He also took part in four Pan-American team championships (1991, 1995, 2003 and 2013).
At the 2007 Chess World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk , he failed in the first round to Sergei Karjakin .
In 1995 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2011.
