Everson Pereira da Silva (born November 10, 1975 in Campo Grande ), called Everson , is a former Brazilian football player .

Career

In his youth Everson played for Portuguesa São Paulo and, for two more years with the seniors, for Paraná Clube in Brazil. In 1997 he came to Europe, initially to Servette FC Genève , and in the same year moved to RWD Molenbeek in Belgium , where he played until October 1999. He then signed a contract with Eintracht Braunschweig , where he was active until 2000 before moving to Arminia Bielefeld . For Arminia Everson completed ten second division games. A year later he went to VfL Osnabrück and played there for one season in the Regionalliga Nord, scoring four goals in 22 games. He then played from 2002 to 2004 at OGC Nice in France; there Everson graduated under coach Gernot Rohr 61 games in Ligue 1 and scored eleven goals. The left-footed player was feared at this time mainly because of his extremely precise free kicks. He then accepted a well-paid offer from Benfica Lisbon . His ordeal marked by numerous serious injuries began in Portugal. He only made two appearances in the UEFA Cup and a handful of point games.

Benfica therefore gave it to Young Boys Bern from Switzerland in early 2006 ; there, too, he suffered a serious injury when his cruciate ligament tore in the cup final against FC Sion . In July 2007 Everson moved to Neuchâtel Xamax and stayed there until 2008. In total, he played 35 times in the top Swiss league and scored six goals. He then played for half a season at Étoile Sportive du Sahel in Tunisia. In 2009 he signed a two-year contract with TuS Koblenz ; due to his relegation from the second Bundesliga (2010), Everson's commitment there ended prematurely. So he returned to France and played for third division FC Gueugnon in the 2010/11 season . After a year he ended his active career there.
