Evolution robotics

Evolution Robotics was an American company for robot technology from Pasadena , Los Angeles County , California . The products included solutions for machine vision , localization and autonomous navigation . Evolution Robotics cooperates with the University of Cambridge and is considered a technology leader in the field of visual object recognition. In recent years Evolution Robotics has also acted as the main sponsor of several robotics competitions and conferences.

Evolution Robotics' object recognition software has been licensed from the Korean Institute of Industrial Technology and the Sony Robotics Division . Evolution Robotics also works with IBM and Wowwee.

Evolution Robotics has had a European office in Velbert since 2004 . In 2012 it was bought by iRobot for $ 74 million.
