Ewald Hasler (born August 3, 1932 in Eschen ; † April 7, 2013 ibid) was a Liechtenstein cyclist and national cycling champion .

Life and athletic career

His most important success was winning the national road race championship in 1953. Ewald Hasler took part in the 1952 Summer Olympics. In the road race , he finished 43rd. After Adolf Schreiber (who started in Berlin in 1936 ), he and his teammate Alois Lampert were the second cyclist from Liechtenstein to be sent to the Olympic Games from the Principality.

Hasler was an electrician by profession and opened his own electrical shop in Eschen in 1965 , which has been run by his sons since his death. One of his sons is the former cross-country skier Markus Hasler , who took part in all the Winter Olympics from 1992 to 2006 .
