Exilia is an Italian nu-metal band.
Band history
Exilia was created in Milan in 1993 when Masha met guitarist Elio Alien in a record store.
You could see them in the opening act of Guano Apes , H-Blockx , Clawfinger , HIM , Therapy? , Oomph! , In Extremo , Die Ärzte , Rammstein , Ill Niño and Soulfly .
Her debut album Rightside Up was released in 2000. The follow-up album Unleashed was released in May 2004 and immediately placed in the top 40 of the German charts. In April 2005 the first line-up change on drums. Andrea Ge made room for ale.
After Nobody Excluded was released in 2006 and the band had pretty much disappeared from the scene in 2008, Exilia came back in 2009 with their next album My own Army , which will be released for the first time through the new record company of the Milanese, AFM Records . Shortly after the album was released, Exilia went on an extensive European tour with Ill Nino and God Forbid . They also played at various festivals in the summer of 2009. Before the album was released, singer Masha explained in an interview with the German metal webzine sounds2move.de that the song and album titles from My own Army can be traced back to the death of her mother in 2008, to whom the album is also dedicated, according to a note in the booklet is.
At the beginning of 2011, the band announced the album Decode , the cover of which was distributed via various channels such as the band's homepage and the band's Facebook profile. The release date was March 30, 2012.
On April 23, 2011, the band announced the departure of guitarist and band co-founder Elio Alien on their Facebook profile, and a few days later introduced a new guitarist named "Aimer".
