Expositurkirche Köfels
The Roman Catholic Expositurkirche Köfels is located in the village of Köfels in the municipality of Umhausen in the Imst district in Tyrol . It is dedicated to the Commemoration of the Pain of Mary and is a branch of the parish Umhausen in the dean's office Silz in the diocese of Innsbruck . The building is a listed building .
history
The church building was erected in 1774 and restored in 1911.
architecture
- Exterior description
A tower with an octagonal bell storey is attached to the choir. The tower has an onion helmet .
- Inside description
The nave is two-bay and barrel vaulted with stitch caps . The vault is supported by pilasters . The choir is single yoke and has a 3/8 end.
Furnishing
The altar was built around 1775. The modern altarpiece shows the " Lamentation ". The picture is flanked by baroque console figures of Saints Ulrich and Nicholas . The figures date from the second half of the 18th century and are attributed to Joseph Götsch .
Bells
One bell was cast by Bartlme Grassmayr in 1774, the other by Johann Grassmayr in 1799.
