Ezequiel Calvente Criado , called Ezequiel (born January 12, 1991 in Melilla ) is a Spanish football player . He is mainly used as a midfielder on the wing .
Career
society
Ezequiel played for Granada CF in his youth before joining the Betis Sevilla youth team at the age of eleven after being spotted at a championship in Seville. In the summer of 2009 he made the jump to the second team and a year later he was part of the first team's squad. On August 29, 2010, the first match day of the 2010/11 season , he made his professional debut when he came on as a substitute for Juan Pablo Caffa at half-time against his former club Granada CF (4-1) . After promotion to the Primera División 2012, he was only a supplementary player. He was loaned to the second division CE Sabadell in January 2012 until the end of the 2011/12 season, where he was used more regularly. After his return in summer 2012 he got permission from Betis to look for another club.
Thereupon he denied a trial training with the German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach , but could not convince and was not signed. At the end of July 2012, Ezequiel began trial training at the German Bundesliga club SC Freiburg and was loaned out shortly afterwards for a year until the end of the 2012/13 season.
National team
Ezequiel has played for all youth teams of the Spanish Football Association since the U19 . In the summer of 2010 he took part in the European Championship in France with the U-19s and only failed in the final against the host. In the summer of 2011 he took part with the U20s in the World Cup in Colombia , where he failed with the team in the quarter-finals against Brazil .
