Eznis Airways (Изинис Эйрвэйз) is a Mongolian airline based in Ulaanbaatar and based at the local Chinggis Khaan International Airport . It existed from 2006 to 2014 and again since 2019.
history
In 2004, the Newcom Group (later Eznis' parent company ) carried out a study on the creation of a private regional airline. Due to the positive result, Eznis was founded in February 2006 after the civil aviation authority of Mongolia had approved it. Flight operations began on December 6 of the same year.
Between 2005 and 2006, Eznis pilots were trained at the Ansett Training Center in Australia and at Japan Air Commuters in Japan . Qantas trained the service personnel, particularly with regard to the emergency measures.
On May 23, 2014, Eznis Airways ceased operations with immediate effect for economic reasons, after restructuring measures had failed in the previous two years. In January 2018, 100 percent of the shares in Eznis were sold to an unknown company.
Flight operations resumed in 2019.
Destinations
The route Ulaanbaatar to Hong Kong has been served since 2019 .
Between 2006 and 2014, Eznis Airways flew to 14 destinations in various aimags in Mongolia and the People's Republic of China .
