Fábio Júnior Pereira (born November 20, 1977 in Manhuaçu ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .
Pereira played in the Brazilian league from 1993 to 1999. Then AS Roma became aware of him and bought the attacker for around $ 15 million from his home club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte . There, however, he could not prevail and went back to Brazil a year later. In January 2003 he moved back to Europe to the Portuguese football club Vitória Guimarães . He then worked for Atlético Mineiro (Brazil), the Kashima Antlers ( Japan ) and Al Wahda (Abu Dhabi) in the United Arab Emirates .
Fábio Júnior played from January 2006 in attack for Bundesliga club VfL Bochum . After being promoted to the 1st Bundesliga, however, he was unable to meet the high expectations in the following season and so he left Bochum after a year and a half and moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv . In 2008 he went back to Brazil. In early 2010 took him América Mineiro under contract, where he in the Série B played. After further stints at lower-class clubs, he ended his career in 2016.
