The Information Technology Battalion 293 ( ITBtl 293 ) in Murnau am Staffelsee is a service unit of the Cyber and Information Space (CIR) of the Bundeswehr and is subordinate to the Bundeswehr Information Technology Command . Together with its soldiers, it operates the information and communication systems of the Bundeswehr in action .
Order and equipment
The information technology battalion 293 has the task of providing and operating the partial information supply for the Bundeswehr with its expertise and its mobile IT resources and forces in the operational areas. The ITBtl 293 thus contributes to guaranteeing networked operations management and ensuring leadership skills. For this purpose, the association provides parts of the communication network as well as central and decentralized applications for the respective user. The focus is on supporting emergency operations.
