The FC Hayes (officially: Hayes Football Club ) - also known as The Missio agent - was an English football club based in Hayes, London Borough of Hillingdon , Greater London, the last in 2007 in the Conference South , played the sixth-highest division in England. The club's venue was 6500-seat Church Road .

Club history

The club was founded in 1909 as the Botwell Mission and played in very low-class amateur leagues in the early years. In 1929, the club was renamed and it then appeared as the Hayes Football Club. In the following year the team was accepted into the Athenian League. In the 1930/31 season, the club made it to the final of the FA Amateur Cup, but lost just short of the Wycombe Wanderers . The club was then represented in the same league for many years and was the only success to record winning the Athenian League in 1957. In 1971 the club was accepted into the Isthmian League . The team was able to prove consistency when they spent over twenty years in the league.

Only after the 1995/96 season, when winning the Isthmian League could be ensured, the team from London Borough of Hillingdon made promotion to the Football Conference . After that division, the club managed to stay in league five years in a row after fluctuating performances, but had to go to the Isthmian League Premier Division after the 2001/02 season. After the major restructuring of the Football Conference in 2004, the club was then included in the Conference South , although the team as eighth place in the Isthmian League Premier Division did not qualify for it.

In the following three years succeeded with moderate placements of the league preservation in the Conference South. On May 18, 2007, FC Hayes announced that the club will merge with FC Yeading . The new club Hayes & Yeading United took over from Hayes and Yeading in Conference South.
