Nikki Bull (born October 2, 1981 in Hastings ) is an English football goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Wycombe Wanderers since July 2010 .

Career

Bull played in his youth first at Aston Villa and then at the Queens Park Rangers . In 1999 he received a professional contract at Loftus Road , but did not appear on the professional team for the club until he left in 2002.

He moved to the amateur area in the Isthmian League to the ambitious club Aldershot Town , which strengthened itself with a number of professionals to make the leap over the Football Conference into the Football League . Already in the first season the promotion to the Football Conference succeeded, there they failed in the two following seasons in the promotion play-offs to the Football League. After two mixed seasons, they won the championship title with 101 points in the 2007/08 season and rose to the professional level of English football. Bull was one of the top performers of his club, in the promotion season he was named the best player and best goalkeeper of the Football Conference, the supporters of Aldershot voted him in 2003, 2006 and 2008 player of the year.

After the rise, there was irritation about the whereabouts of Bull at Aldershot, after he initially rejected a contract offer from Aldershot and an improved contract was withdrawn by the club president a few hours before the signature. A few days later, the two parties agreed on a new two-year contract.

He made his debut in Football League Two on August 9 at the season opener against Accrington Stanley and came in the further course of the season to a total of 30 league appearances. At the end of July 2009 he dissolved his contract with Aldershot and signed a few days later with third division club Brentford .

At Brentford, however, he had to be content with the role of reservist, as the goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny , who was on loan from Arsenal FC, was able to secure a regular place and never gave it up. In June 2010, Bull signed a one-year contract with fourth division club Wycombe Wanderers . There he was the goalkeeper throughout the season and rose with the club as third in the Football League One .

Between 2003 and 2007 Bull came to a total of four appearances for "England C", a national selection of players from non-league football .
