The sports club FC Könen 1920 eV is a German sports club based in the Könen district of the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Konz in the Trier-Saarburg district .
history
Soccer
post war period
The soccer team was promoted to the Rhineland State League, which was second-rate at the time , by the 1949/50 season at the latest . With 14:30 points this season, the league could be kept just above the tenth place of the season south. With only 15:37 points, the team then rose again at the end of the next season .
Current time
In the 2002/03 season, the club played in the district league B district Trier / Saarburg and finished there with 30 points in ninth place. With 52 points then succeeded after the 2005/06 season the second place with which the team was able to rise to the district league A. There they were able to position themselves in eighth place with 32 points in the following season. After the 2008/09 season, it went down to 13th place with just 25 points, however, back down to the district league B. Here, with 57 points, the championship was achieved in the 2009/10 season and thus the direct promotion. This time you could stay longer in the league, then had to relegate as the last after the 2012/13 season with only 17 points. Until the championship and the next promotion, it should then be until the 2015/16 season. The team still plays there to this day.
