FC Margveti-2006 Sestaponi ( საფეხბურთო კლუბი მარგვეთი ზესტაფონი Sapekhburto Klubi Samtredia ) is a Georgian football club from Sestaponi .
history
The association was founded in 1937 as Metalurgi Sestaponi. Until the independence of Georgia, the team played in the local football league. Under the name Margveti, the club joined the 2nd division in 1990 . After the first season one rose to the Umaghlessi League . In the first five years, the team established itself in the midfield of the league. In 1995/96 the team was runner-up and qualified for the UEFA Cup .
Two years later, the team was bottom of the table and relegated. After financial problems, the club had to file for bankruptcy in 1999. In 2006 a new beginning was started in the 3rd League West .
