The FC Puuma Tallinn , short: FC Puuma , in Estonian Jalgpalliklubi Puuma , is an Estonian football club from Tallinn , which was founded in 1981 and which plays in 2011 in the Esiliiga , the second highest Estonian division.
history
The FC Puuma Tallinn was founded in October 1981 as a school team in Tallinn by the Uzbek soccer player Aleksandr Pak and the teacher Helle Mäesepp. In March 1984 the addition "Puuma" (Estonian for Puma ) was added. The first coach was Aleksandr Pak, who was in office for six years after it was founded. The Russian Vitaly Kobashov has been the club's president since 1992, and he was also the coach.
In 2005, the club rose to the second division , but saw no perspective in the development of the players who were part of the team at a young age. FC Puuma is a pure training club that prepares young people for clubs from the Meistriliiga and the Estonian national soccer team , as well as training them in a soccer academy.
Every year in the summer months, FC Puuma takes part in international tournaments with the youth teams, including in Gothenburg , Barcelona on the Costa Blanca in Vassa and Turku and Prešov . The Estonian economy provides financial support through sponsors such as McDonald’s and Tallink , and since 2002 also from the Estonian Football Association .
In 2011 the club will take part in the Esiliiga 2011 after Puuma Tallinn rose to the top of the table in the II Liiga . On the first day of the 2011 season, the team won 7: 3 away against FC Valga Warrior .
