Heidemarie Konzack

Heidemarie Konzack (born September 13, 1943 in Cottbus ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Konzack trained as an electrical draftswoman from 1962 to 1963 and then worked in this profession until 1967. Between 1965 and 1970 she completed a distance learning course to become an electrical engineer . From 1967 she worked as a designer, then from 1970 to 1990 as a qualified electrical engineer. From 1990 to 1994 she was full-time managing director of the SPD for the Cottbus subdistrict, Spree-Neisse district. Konzack is mother of one child.

In the state elections in Brandenburg in 1994 she was elected to the Brandenburg state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 40 (Cottbus I) . In the 1999 election , she succeeded in repeating this success and moving into the Potsdam state parliament for another legislative period. She was a member of parliament from October 11, 1994 to October 13, 2004. Konzack was the cultural-political spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group, she was a member of the parliamentary committee for science, research and culture and the committee for labor, social affairs, health and women, from 1994 until 1999 she was also a member of the Budgetary Control Committee.

On May 23, 1999, she took part in the 11th Federal Assembly, at which Johannes Rau was elected Federal President .

Konzack was temporarily a member of the administrative board of the Cottbus State Theater and a member of the board of the Friends of the Cottbus Social Pediatric Center “Kinderlachen” e. V. She was also a member of the board of the regional music school association. Since 2005 she has been chairwoman of the Fürst Pückler in Branitz e. V., a support association for the Fürst-Pückler-Museum Schloss Branitz .
