FC Rapid Innsbruck was an Austrian football club from the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck , which merged with FC Wacker Innsbruck in 1922.

Along with ATV Innsbruck , FC Germania Innsbruck , SV Innsbruck , FC Veldidena Innsbruck and FC Wacker Innsbruck , FC Rapid Innsbruck is one of the clubs that founded the Gauverband Tirol, the forerunner of the Tyrolean Football Association , in 1919.

One of the first FC Rapid Innsbruck games as FM Kriketer , reported in the newspaper Allgemeine Tiroler Tagesanzeiger , took place in October 1913 against Premiere Innsbruck and ended with a 2-1 defeat. Between October 1913 and July 1914, the club was renamed FC Rapid Innsbruck. On July 19, 1914 there was a game against FC Wacker Innsbruck and ended with a 4-1 victory for FC Wacker Innsbruck.

On September 18, 1920, the founding member of the Tyrolean Football Association finally played its first Tyrolean A championship game, it ended 1: 1 against FC Wacker Innsbruck. After things didn't go right for the Black-Greens, however, the club found themselves bottom of the table in 1922. To prevent relegation, FC Wacker Innsbruck merged with FC Rapid Innsbruck, who finished second in 1922, and adopted the new name FC Sturm Innsbruck . Due to disagreement between the officials and players, however, in 1923, despite a third place in the table, the club was dissolved.
