Gameplay
The game largely corresponds to FIFA 97 and continues the well-known principle of the series . There are 18 to 64 football clubs from five countries available, as well as various national teams . There are over 150 teams in total.
The indoor mode was canceled without replacement. Due to the lack of a battery, saving is only possible via the Controller Pak .
Reviews
Overall, the game received poorer reviews compared to other parts of the series:
- Fun Generation 6/97: 4 out of 10 (graphics 5/10, sound 9/10)
- Mega Fun 6/97: 74% (graphics 58%, sound 78%)
- Video Games 5/97: 62% (graphics 77%, sound 79%)

"Technically shocking" FIFA "update with a loveless presentation and a mercilessly jerky 3D look."
