FIFA Soccer 95 is the second part of the game series after FIFA International Soccer and its successor was released exclusively for the Sega Mega Drive.

Gameplay

By and large, the game principle introduced in the predecessor is retained. Overall, however, the course of the game, which is now faster, and details have been changed. The AI of the opponents has been improved. The graphics have also been revised, e.g. the sprites have more animations. There are further improvements in the sound.

The players have fantasy names. However, there are 64 national teams , 8 soccer leagues and 154 soccer teams licensed by FIFA .

Overall, the game received good reviews from the national and international trade press. Here are selected from the German-speaking area:

Remarks

The game is dedicated to Joe Della-Savia (1960–1994) who was part of the development team and was killed in a traffic accident on the way to work .

Former professional football player Erik Thorstvedt can be seen on the European cover . An online game mode via Mega Net 2 was integrated exclusively for the Brazilian implementation .
