The ICTS Germany (International Consultants on Targeted Security, formerly aviation and industrial security services and consulting company ( FIS )) is a private security service companies offering which integrated security solutions. The company works in the European network under the umbrella of the security group ICTS Europe SA , which is active with more than 11,000 employees at over 90 locations in 22 countries.

The managing director of ICTS Germany with its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main is Nikolaos Papatrechas. The company currently employs around 1,000 people at 15 locations nationwide, including in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich.

ICTS Germany is in the field of aviation security , the airport security the object and plant protection act, maritime safety and cargo control. The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008 and DIN 77200: 2008.

history

In 1988 the Aviation and Industrial Security Service and Consulting Company (FIS) was founded as a subsidiary of ICTS Europe BV . In 2002 the company was acquired by Fraport AG. ICTS Germany has been part of the Sofinord Group under the umbrella of ICTS Europe SA since 2013 . In 2015 the name was changed from FIS GmbH to ICTS Deutschland GmbH. The company was founded in 1993 as the first private security service with the passenger and baggage control in Germany according to § 5 Aviation Security Act mandated (Aviation Security).

Business areas

Airports

On behalf of the public, ICTS Germany carries out checks on people , hand luggage and luggage on the basis of Section 5 of the Aviation Security Act . On behalf of the airports, ICTS Germany takes on personnel, goods and identity controls , property protection for airport facilities , access and access controls as well as mail and freight controls on the basis of § 8 Aviation Security Act .

In addition, ICTS Germany takes on the tasks defined by Section 9 LuftSiG for various airlines . The security services include aircraft security, aircraft searches, passenger controls and surveys, system audits, review of travel documents and security checks in airport apron areas.

For airlines, the measures are based on the regulations of the Aviation Security Act as well as the regulations of the airlines' countries of origin and the regulations of the respective destination airports. For US airlines in particular, there are further measures in accordance with the US safety standards of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA; Transport Security Authority). For German airlines, the measures are based on the regulations of the Federal Ministry of the Interior .

In addition, ICTS Germany takes on the ACC3 validation (“Air Cargo or Mail Carrier operating into the Union from a Third Country Airport”) for air carriers that transport freight or mail to the EU from non-EU countries.

Property and plant security

In addition to its core business in aviation security, ICTS Germany has specialized in the implementation of property and plant security tasks for critical infrastructures in the private and public sectors. To secure personnel, customers and infrastructures, security systems are developed that correspond to the specific environmental requirements.

Maritime security

ICTS Germany develops security systems in compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code: International code for security on ships and in port facilities) to ensure security in the supply chain , which is achieved through the integration of security forces and technological systems for security from port operators and cruise lines .

As part of freight control, ICTS Deutschland develops freight control solutions especially for airlines and shipping companies. All global regulatory guidelines must be met. Among other things, X-ray controls , explosive detection dogs and a cargo security control system (RASCargO) are used for this purpose .

Innovative technology development

ICTS Systems develops appropriate technological solutions for special security requirements that can be used in the field of aviation security, property and plant security and in the context of further training and evaluations. These include:

  • TravelDoc: The TravelDoc system is a software used to check the travel documents of passengers in relation to the entry requirements of the destination.
  • APIS: The Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) enables airlines to transmit all relevant passenger data (e.g. as part of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization , ESTA; electronic system for travel authorization) to supervisory authorities worldwide in real time.
  • Quick Turn: Quick Turn is a system that provides airlines with information on the performance of their suppliers.
  • SmartPoint: SmartPoint is used to optimize all security processes by measuring and analyzing security processes including each of its components in real time.
  • Eagle: Eagle is a training platform that enables online training to be carried out. Among other things, the platform is used for certifications, exams and job simulations.
  • MCast: MCast was specially developed for the human resources sector to support the recruiting process of qualified security personnel. The computer-based assessment tool measures the suitability of applicants for a specific position.
  • RasCargO: RasCargO is a solution for cargo security controls. The system is based on a two-step process in which volatile material such as explosives , narcotics, etc. are first taken from closed pallets or trucks by means of air samples and collected in a specially designed filter. Then specially trained dogs are used for analysis and detection.
