The Film + Test Location ( FTL Germany for short ) is a replica of a motorway that is used for filming.

The site, Europe's largest film set for high-speed motorway scenes , is located in Siersdorf in North Rhine-Westphalia , a district of the municipality of Aldenhoven in the Düren district . The setting was created on the site of the former Emil Mayrisch coal mine . The film production company action concept has been using the route since 2005 for series such as Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei and 112 - Sie save your life . It was also used for commercials .

The FTL is a replica of a motorway with hard shoulders, deceleration and acceleration lanes, parking lot and emergency bays . The two two-lane carriageways are each 1,000 m long and separated from each other by an 81 cm high concrete barrier. With the turning loops at both ends of the road, the total distance is 2,300 m.

The Aldenhoven Testing Center is located in close proximity to the track .
