Fabián Roncero

Fabián Roncero (born October 19, 1970 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish long-distance runner and owner of the current European record in the half marathon .

At Marathon the 1997 World Championships in Athletics in Athens , he finished sixth. In 1998 he won the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:07:26 h and a year later he set his best time of 2:07:23 h in the same place in second place.

At the 2001 World Athletics Championships in Edmonton , he was fifth in the 10,000-meter run . In the same year, as the winner of the Berlin half marathon in 59:52 minutes, he was the first and so far only European to stay under an hour.
