Fabian Barański (born May 27, 1999 ) is a Polish rower . He was European champion in 2019.

Athletic career

Fabian Barański was one ninth at the Junior European Championships in 2016 and 2017. 2018 he won together with Mateusz Swietek in the double sculls the bronze medal at the U23 World Championships .

In 2019 he won the Polish double foursome at the World Cup in Plovdiv. For the 2019 European Championships in Lucerne, the 1.96 tall Barański formed a double scull with Mirosław Ziętarski.The two won the title ahead of the Swiss and Romanians. Then Barański returned to the double fours and also won the other two World Cup regattas in Poznan and Rotterdam. At the 2019 World Championships in Linz-Ottensheim, the double foursome from the Netherlands won by almost four seconds over the Polish crew with Dominik Czaja , Wiktor Chabel , Szymon Pośnik and Fabian Barański, who in turn had half a second ahead of the third-placed Italians.
